There are two main strands of my work, one is language education and the other is the voluntary sector.

I have a Certificate in TESOL from Trinity College London and have taught English both in the UK and abroad (mainly in francophone countries like France, Belgium, and Morocco). I have also done some freelance work through Tutorful and iTalki, teaching English, French, and some basic Japanese. As my background in linguistics is partially in phonetics, my teaching tends to focus on aspects of phonology and accent, helping learners sound more native-like.

I’ve also undertaken a wide range of voluntary work, from being a trustee to running educational outreach sessions. My particular interests within the third sector are fundraising, communications, and research. I especially like Grants and Trusts fundraising, from writing grant bids to producing marketing materials for funder events.
